The Entry Level
Introduction to Defensive Carbine
This is an entry level course for AR 15 shooters to learn the basic fundamental of marksmanship and manipulation of the carbine. This class is geared for those who have not had any formal AR 15 carbine instruction. Students will learn: essential law pertaining to AR (California), a brief history, nomenclature, mechanical operation, care & cleaning, preventive maintenance, safety, stance, application of two points sling, manipulations, safe load and unload techniques, zeroing iron sights, sight alignment and trigger control, and shooting positions & stable platforms
The Operator course is designed to build on the foundations taught in Carbine-I course. Students will develop critical skills needed to operate and shoot an AR 15 in a variety of situations including concepts of dominating the weapon, properly identifying threat and assessing all visual areas during dynamic action will be emphasized throughout the course. Students will develop reflexive gun-handling skills that will enable them to quickly and efficiently engage threats. This course is designed to challenge the student's skill levels beyond the basics and introduces the student to deployment techniques that are critical for both law enforcement application and personal/home defense.
Once the shooter has a solid understanding of the fundamental of carbine shooting, it is time to test out the knowledge and skills. In the Adavanced module, students are taught the basics of team concept, shooting in low light condition, target discrimination, dynamic movements, shooting in bursts, challening 400+ yard shots, along with constant drills to push the shooter to the next level.
