TAC-1 Tactical
Ballistic Shield Instructor Course will provide students with the theory and practical
training necessary to effectively instruct users with the knowledge,
skills, and techniques in the use and limitations of the ballistic shield for
law enforcement application.

Technical Specifications:
- Federal Standard NIJ-0108.01
- Ballistic Material - Hybrid composite
- Weight of the shield not to exceed 18 lbs
- View Port Reinforced on all edges for added protection
- Must come w/ 3 components: Handle, Foam Pad, and Forearm strap system
- Reinforced Bolt System for added protection
- Recessed Viewport to provide additional protection against Abrasive contact

- Radio for emergency notifications ·
- First aid kit (with trauma kit) ·
- Service pistol and magazines (must be provided by students) ·
- Service rifle and magazine (must be provided by students) ·
- 200 rounds of pistol ammunition (must be provided by students) ·
- 40 rounds of rifle ammunition (must be provided by students) ·
- Sam Browne/Duty Belt ·
- Eye and ear protection ·
- Inert handguns (host agency provides) ·
- Body armor and Ballistic Helmet (must be provided by students) ·
- Post Roster (not applicable) ·
- Classroom with tables ·
- Snap caps/"Dummy" rounds ·
- NLTA pistols and rounds (inert pistol)
