Tactical Movements & Close Quarter Shooting
Pistol-II(A): CQT - Close Quarter Technique & Tactical Movements is the first of TAC-1's Intermediate tactical handgun module. This 8 hour class focuses on developing precise gun-handling/manipulation skills, extensive one-handed marksmanship, malfunction clearing and survival techniques and various movements will be covered.
This class also will evaluate the precise bio-mechanics needed to shoot accurately on the move. Ideally a shooter should shoot from the most stable position available. The standing position allows a shooter to be mobile, however, in a deadly force situation the targets will likely be moving, and so will the shooter. Unless adversaries are toe to toe, stationary gunfights are rare. The techniques in this lesson plan will allow a shooter to be mobile and effectively hit the target.
The concept of dominating the weapon, threat, and all visual areas will be emphasized throughout the class. Students will develop reflexive skills that will enable them to quickly and efficiently engage threats while performing multiple complex tasks.
CQT - Close Quarter Technique Module
Module Time: 1230 hrs to 1630 hrs
It is understood that most Officer Involved Shooting (OIS) occurs with in 3 to 5 feet of each other in the United States. At that distance, the shooter's technique must be flawless and be able to endure the violence up close.

Shooting with Movements
Module Schedule: 0800 hr to 1200 hrs
